This post is going to be very general. I don’t want to give away much detail because it’s a bit embarrassing but I’ve decided something because of it.

Yesterday, I made a mistake. Someone asked if I wanted to do something – a very mundane thing – and my first thought was that I didn’t. Couple hours later, I realized I missed a big opportunity and, needless to say, I was really disappointed. The whole day yesterday and all morning today I completely regretted my decision and kept beating myself up about it.

From now on, I’m going to be working on changing my automatic response to requests and suggestions to an enthusiastic yes instead of being hesitant about everything. I’d rather take the chance that I’ll regret doing something than by doing nothing.
